Pro

Your GPX track as a video, for a story, a Reel or a TikTok.

Nine seconds of your route drawing itself: the camera follows the line, the map arrives beneath it, then the whole poster settles. With Adret Pro, a story or a post becomes an MP4 to post as it is.

Three steps.

  1. 01

    Compose the poster

Import the track (the guide says where to find it), pick a style, and choose the story format, at 1080×1920: the size of a story, a Reel or a TikTok.

  2. 02

    Share it as a film

In the poster’s share menu, tap “Share as a film”. It is drawn on our server in a minute or two, a little longer for a city, and the app stays usable while you wait.

  3. 03

    Post it

A notification tells you when it is ready, if you allowed them: tap it, and the share sheet sends it to Instagram, TikTok or your photo library. In the browser it downloads by itself, as long as the tab stays open.

Nine seconds, frame by frame.

  • The film

The line draws itself, then the whole poster.

Adret’s logo unfolds into your track, the camera follows it close to the line while the map arrives layer by layer, then pulls back to the poster, title and stats included. It ends on adret.studio, or on your poster if you took the signature off.

The Vintage style on two outings, a hike at Mont-Dore and a marathon in Paris: sepia paper, shaded relief, the route in brick red
  • The format

The size of a story, a Reel or a TikTok.

A story gives a film at 1080×1920, the size of a story, a Reel or a TikTok; a post gives one at its own size, portrait or landscape. It is a silent MP4: the music is yours to add in the app you post it to.

The same walk in the Adret style twice: as a story, in portrait, then as a post in landscape, the map on the left and the title and stats in a column to its right
  • Your poster

Your poster, exactly as you see it.

Your colours, your style, your title, and your photo underneath if you put one there: the film draws the poster you composed and nothing else. Our server keeps it only until your phone fetches it, an hour at most.

The same poster with a transparent background, a ride to Montalivet-les-Bains down to its route, title and stats: laid on a chequerboard, then over a photograph of a bike in the dunes above the sea, in low sun

Fair questions.

Yes, with Adret Pro. On a story or a post, open the share menu and tap “Share as a film”: a 9-second MP4 of your route drawing itself, then the whole poster, silent and ready to post as it is. It is drawn on our server in a minute or two (longer for a city), you get a notification when it is ready, and the server deletes it as soon as your phone has it, an hour at most. A print has no film: it is a file for paper.

Two for a screen, both free and with no watermark, chosen under Page, then Format: a story at 1080×1920, or a 3:4 post at 1080×1440. The post can be portrait or landscape, and in landscape the map sits on the left with the title and stats in a column to its right; a story is portrait only. Either is a PNG, handed to your phone’s share sheet, so it can go straight to the photo library, a message or an app; PNG rather than JPEG because the background can be transparent. Adret Pro adds two for paper, at 300 dpi and in portrait or landscape: A3, which prints just as well at A4 or A2 and fits a 50×70 cm frame, and 30×40 cm, which also prints at 60×80.

Yes, in your browser, at app.adret.studio: the same editor and the same styles, the poster drawn on your computer. Drop the file on the page, or click + to choose it, then download the finished poster. What you make there stays in that browser, and clearing the site’s data deletes it; Safari also clears it after seven days without a visit. Adret Pro is bought in the app: to use it in the browser, sign in there with the email address of your Adret account, and a code or a link reaches you. Connecting Strava stays the app’s.

The yearly plan starts with 7 days free; the monthly plan has none. Nothing is charged during the trial, and the Adret Pro screen says what follows it before you confirm. If Pro is not for you, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, in your phone’s subscription settings, and you pay nothing. A trial is offered once: if the store says you have had one already, the plan shows its plain price instead.

All the questions

Which outing deserves its nine seconds?

Adret is on iPhone, iPad and Android. The poster is free; the film comes with Adret Pro.
