Pro

Print your GPX track as a poster, A3 or 30×40 cm.

Six months of training, one poster. With Adret Pro, yours becomes a file to print at 300 dpi, drawn again at paper size, for the photo lab down the road or any online printer you like. Adret does not print or deliver anything itself: the file is yours.

The same ride over Mont Ventoux in the Adret style as an A3 print, twice: in portrait, then in landscape, the map on the left and the title and stats in a column to its right

Three steps.

  1. 01

    Compose the poster

Import the track (the guide says where to find it), pick a style, write the race’s name, then set the date and the stats to show.

  2. 02

    Choose the paper

Under Page, then Format, give it A3 or 30×40 cm, portrait or landscape. Its menu then offers the file to print, a PNG at 300 dpi: give it a moment, as it is drawn again at paper size.

  3. 03

    Get it printed

At a photo lab, a copy shop or an online printer: ask for the file’s own size, with no resizing and no border added, on a matte or satin paper. Then all it needs is a frame.

A poster for the wall.

  • Text

The race’s name, your time, the date.

Write the title as you like, with up to four stats beside it: distance, climb, moving or total time, pace, average speed. All of that is free; only the print file needs Adret Pro.

The same walk twice: on the left the place name set small, with no stats; on the right a large title, “Up there”, over four stats
  • ElevationPro

The route’s elevation, under the map.

Every climb and every descent as one silhouette at the foot of the poster, the one anybody who has ridden it knows at a glance.

The same ride over Mont Ventoux in the Vintage style, without and then with its elevation profile, a single red pyramid along the bottom of the map
  • LayoutPro

The map across the whole sheet.

The Cover layout takes the map from edge to edge and sets the title on the drawing. With every typeface and the sun wherever you want it, that is what Adret Pro adds for the wall: everything Adret Pro adds.

The same hike in the Vintage style in two layouts: the map in a frame with the title under it, then the map over the whole sheet with the title on it

Fair questions.

Yes, with Adret Pro. Under Page, then Format, give the poster one of the two print formats, and its menu offers the file to print: a PNG at 300 dpi, drawn again at print size, so it takes a moment. Take it to any print shop or online printer you like: the next answer says what to ask for.
  • A3 has the shape of every A size: it prints just as well at A4 or A2, and fits a 50×70 cm frame.
  • 30×40 cm is 3:4, and prints at 60×80 cm as well.
Both come in portrait or landscape. Adret does not print or deliver posters itself, and the free story and post are sized for a screen rather than for paper.

Anywhere that prints photos or posters. Two kinds of place do it well:
  • A photo lab or a copy shop near you: bring the file on your phone, or email it to them first, and leave with the print.
  • An online printer: upload the file, choose the paper, and the print comes by post. Some will frame it too.
What to ask for, in either:
  • The size of the file, with no resizing: A3 (29.7×42 cm) or 30×40 cm. The file carries its own dimensions, so it opens at the right size. For another size, keep the shape: A4 or A2 from the A3 file, 60×80 cm from the 30×40.
  • No white border added: the poster already has its margins.
  • A matte or satin paper, heavy enough to hang flat, around 200 g/m². Gloss catches the light, and the dark styles suffer most.
To hand the file over, save it or email it to yourself from the share sheet: many messaging apps shrink a picture on the way. It is a PNG, a picture like any photo, so any printer can open it. Adret has no partner printer and names none: go where you like.

Two for a screen, both free and with no watermark, chosen under Page, then Format: a story at 1080×1920, or a 3:4 post at 1080×1440. The post can be portrait or landscape, and in landscape the map sits on the left with the title and stats in a column to its right; a story is portrait only. Either is a PNG, handed to your phone’s share sheet, so it can go straight to the photo library, a message or an app; PNG rather than JPEG because the background can be transparent. Adret Pro adds two for paper, at 300 dpi and in portrait or landscape: A3, which prints just as well at A4 or A2 and fits a 50×70 cm frame, and 30×40 cm, which also prints at 60×80.

The yearly plan starts with 7 days free; the monthly plan has none. Nothing is charged during the trial, and the Adret Pro screen says what follows it before you confirm. If Pro is not for you, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, in your phone’s subscription settings, and you pay nothing. A trial is offered once: if the store says you have had one already, the plan shows its plain price instead.

All the questions

You did it. Now keep it.

Adret is on iPhone, iPad and Android. Making the poster is free; the print file comes with Adret Pro.
